Profile/Background:

Dr. Yuichiro KANAZAWA is professor at International Christian University. He is an expert of statistical science and and its application to marketing science, industrial organization, organizational behavior, and quantitative criminology. He has been a visiting professor at the Department of General Systems Studies, Graduate School of the University of Tokyo and a statistical consultant to the Correction Bureau, the Japanese Minister of Justice. He contributed a Chapter 28 in Econometrics Handbook (Asakura, 2007). He has supervised eight Ph.D. students so far and is planning to continue raising the next generation of scholars in his capacity. His current academic interests include game-theoretic analysis of manufacture-retailer relationship, developing a probabilistic foundation for analyzing big data faster by splitting them into smaller pieces and recombine the result at the end, cross-cultural study of “trustworthiness,” analysis of psychological treatment of inmates. He played hockey in college and is American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor.
